Lion-o was not in a good mood. He'd finally heard back from his father, who wouldn't be coming to Parents Weekend after all. Lion-o understood the reasons why, and he agreed that the long journey wouldn't be good, considering his father's poor health.

Still, he had really been looking forward to seeing his dad again, and it was hard not to let the disappointment get to him. So he couldn't resist pouting as he sat on the bed, looking at the silver bullet he'd made in class the other day. It didn't seem so cool anymore.

"Yeah, but he probably knew you were okay, since you were at home, right?" Momoko tapped her chin. "You could take some pictures of yourself in different places, make an album to send to him so he can see what the place is like and that you're safe and have lots of friends, even if he can't see it for himself. Plus it would be fun!"

Lion-o gave her a weak smile. "That would be kind of fun. Except his eyesight is poor, because his eyes were injured too. But I could make a tape recording talking about Fandom."

"There you go!" Momoko nodded. "I know it's sad that he can't be here, but if you make a recording, you can go all over the island into places that he'd never be able to go even if he did visit and tell him all about it. And when he listens to your recording he'll know that you are okay and having fun and you can tell him how much you miss him."

"I'll do that!" said Lion-o, perking up. "And I can make recordings of all the events this weekend, so he can get to hear what he's missing."

"Good idea! And if you think it would be a good idea, you can always ask you teachers to maybe say a few words to him about stuff." She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "That would be the first thing my parents would want to know about if they were coming - my grades."
