lordofthecats: (Adult -- Wary)
Lion-o had been having a strange dream where he and Tygra were step-brothers that hated each other. It was almost a relief when he woke up. Then he realized that what woke him was the shrieking coming from all over the dorms.

For a moment, he wondered if he should go check out what was going on. Then he remember the last time he tried to help someone and how that turned out. It wasn't the most heroic thing, but he just rolled over and went back to sleep. Anyone needing his help would have to wait.

It was a shame Snarf was still on his trip to the new Thunderan home world. Without anyone to supervise him, weetiny Lion-o was practicing his writing. He'd managed to write his name on all four walls of his room, stopping only when he ran out of surface area that he could reach.

But that was okay, because now he had more time to work on the blanket fort he was constructing between the two beds.

[Door and post are open!]
lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Alone)
There was a reason no one had seen Lion-o all weekend.

It was because his faithful squire, Snarf, wasn't so loyal and trustworthy after all. Snarf had tied Lion-o up and shoved him into the secret chamber hidden underneath his bed. He claimed he had done it for Lion-o's safety, but Lion-o didn't believe that.

But there was nothing he could do, not while he was tied up and locked in the hidden chamber. His only hope was that someone would come looking for him...

Lion-o was grateful that the portal dropped him off a few days early, because he still needed time to adjust to a few things, like his new height and the deeper voice.

"Ouch!" he groaned after banging his head on the frame of the closet door for the second time. "Gosh, Snarf, this whole place is so much smaller than I remember."

"Are you kidding, Lion-o? Compared to those suspension capsules, this place is a palace!" said Snarf, who was making the bed.

The door was open, if anyone passing by wanted to gawk at the red-headed lion boy who'd had a massive growth spurt over the summer.
lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Walking with Snarf)
"Hurry up, Snarf! We need to catch the portal," said Lion-o, shoving stuff in a duffel bag. He wasn't taking a lot with him since he was coming back in the fall, but at the last second, he decided he needed a few extra things.

"I still don't know if this is a good idea, Lion-o," said Snarf, taking the extra outfits out of Lion-o's duffel and folding them neatly. "Maybe you should have contacted Lord Claudus and told him that you were taking a portal. And maybe you should leave some clothes behind. You don't need all of this."

"But I want to surprise him! Think of how surprised he'll be, Snarf," said Lion-o. "I can't wait to see him and it's the whole summer. I'm going to need lots of clothes. We'd better hurry if we're going to catch that portal. Come on, Snarf!"

[Establishy but open if you want to catch Lion-o before he leaves for the summer!]
lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Getting yelled at)
"I'm sorry, Lion-o, but I must insist that you not go on this trip," said Snarf, as Lion-o pouted. "I'm here to watch out for your safety and I don't like boats, snarf snarf."

"But Snarf, I'm already packed and everything! Please let me go on the trip. I've been looking forward to it," begged Lion-o.

"No, and that's my final answer, snarf snarf," said Snarf.

"Fine," said Lion-o. "Hey Snarf, maybe we should break out the emergency chocolate. I could really use some right about now."

Snarf perked up. "You have chocolate? Where?" he asked.

"It's in my closet. Go look for yourself," said Lion-o. He waited until Snarf scampered off into the closet and then Bam! Lion-o shut the doors, trapping Snarf inside. "I'm sorry, but you didn't leave me any other choice! I'll see you in a week when I get back from the cruise," he shouted, grabbing his bags. He ran to get to the causeway before Snarf could find a way out.

[OOC: Establishy!]
lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Getting yelled at)
Lion-o and Snarf were still huddled under the bed, where they had been hiding all weekend. "Do you think it's safe to go out there now?" asked Snarf, whose tummy was starting to growl. They'd finished the hidden stash of candy late last night.

"I don't know, Snarf. You heard last night's radio. The people on this island have gone crazy," said Lion-o, trying to stretch out his legs. He was getting a leg cramp again.

"Well, how will we know when it's safe, snarf snarf?" asked Snarf.

"One of us is just going to have to go out there," said Lion-o. He took a deep breath. "And I think that, as future lord of the Thundercats, it's my job to find out what's going on."

"No! You stay here, snarf snarf. I'm supposed to be taking care of you," said Snarf. He scampered out from under the bed, returning a minute later. "I think it's safe! Come on, Lion-o. Let's get some food."

"Oh, thank Jaga," said Lion-o with a sigh of relief. He wasn't going to admit it, but another day hiding under that bed would have driven him mad.

[Establishy, but open if you want to catch Lion-o after he's done hiding.]
lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Cautious)
Lion-o was freaking out.

Some strange guy had called him and started talking about male pregnancy. He tried to call back, but without luck.

Another unfamiliar voice told him to stay put in his room, so that's what Lion-o was doing after calling him back.

He didn't understand why Turtle was trying to sell him an oven or why some guy told him to chill out. Nothing was making sense today.

[Estabishy and possibly more to come. Door and post are open.]
lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Boys And Their Toys)
Like a good boy, Lion-o had left his shoes out before going to bed the night before so Snarf could polish them.

When he went to grab his shoes the next morning, they were full of candy. "Awesome!" said Lion-o. "Thanks for the candy, Snarf."

Snarf, who was sleeping at the foot of Lion-o's bed, mumbled something and rolled over.

[Door closed, but post is open.]

Lion-o was not in a good mood. He'd finally heard back from his father, who wouldn't be coming to Parents Weekend after all. Lion-o understood the reasons why, and he agreed that the long journey wouldn't be good, considering his father's poor health.

Still, he had really been looking forward to seeing his dad again, and it was hard not to let the disappointment get to him. So he couldn't resist pouting as he sat on the bed, looking at the silver bullet he'd made in class the other day. It didn't seem so cool anymore.

[Establishy, but door and post open]

lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Scared)

Lion-o had gotten an urgent message from Tygra back on Thundera. It seemed that Lord Claudus was ill, though Tygra said that he shouldn't worry. Lion-o worried anyway because his father was the only close family member he had left. He and Snarf frantically packed some essentials and headed for the causeway, where a transport would be waiting to take them home.

[Establishy, but you can catch him before he leaves.]

lordofthecats: (Lion-o -- Hugs)
Moving back into the dorms was pretty painless for Lion-o, especially since Snarf pretty much did everything for him. It was really nice to have a snarf around, even if it did cause some confusion for the radio squirrels.

Lion-o took advantage of the down time to take care of some official business. He needed to write a letter to the council about the progress with his education, but he thought it best to leave out the part about the radio reporting that Snarf was his boyfriend. That was just too weird.

[Open, especially for the roomie.]
